Have you ever thought about something negative? Then your entire day became consumed with negativity. I know! I’ve been there too. Come-on we are human and we all have our days of not remaining positive. If it is something that happens often you may need to do extensive work to get better.
Ibelieve negativity is often a product of depression or insecurity. Have you ever been around someone who has had absolutely nothing positive to say about anyone? That can come from insecurity. Maybe every time you tell that one person something positive they look for the worse that can happen? That can be a sign of Depression.
Although I’m not here to do a lesson on negative thoughts, I think it’s important that we recognize how our thoughts can come from deep rooted problems we don’t address.
I’m here to tell you how I’ve overcame Negative Thinking & hopefully you can too.
3 Great Ways you can minimize your negative thoughts;
Acknowledging your thoughts 💭
When you get a negative thought address it by figuring out how you can turn it into a positive one.
For Example;
(Your Negative Thought- It’s never going to happen for me.)
(A Positive Thought- I am grateful for my journey, it’s taking a while but my time is going to come.)
Write Instead of think✍️
Have you ever heard of a brain dump? If not, a brain dump is transferring your thoughts from your brain onto paper. If you are a over-thinker like me I find this to be really effective. Brain dumps allows you set intentions on becoming a better you. Journaling is a great method for achieving this way of combatting negative thinking.
Exercise🏋️♀️
Exercising is a great way to combat negative thinking. At least from my experience. When I started working out it made me feel more positive and optimistic about myself and my life.
I hope all of these encourage you to combat negative thinking and make positive thinking apart of your everyday life.
